Default Dwarven Armor - Gauntlets for Rangers

I’ve always been amused by the Warriors armor fetish. It seems as if almost every Warrior I meet has at least three sets of high priced shiny armor. But I’m a Ranger …

And I’ve never been impressed by Ranger armor so I have faithfully worn my Druid armor from Drok’s since the day I got it. I’ve looked at other armor. And I could get other armor – I have the money, access, and materials – whatever - no problem. But I have never liked any of them enough to be bothered. Until GW:EN.

I looked at the Dwarven armor for Rangers and thought “Oh cool – I want that!” And so I worked my way up the Dwarven Rep track planning on buying that armor. I was disappointed that I had to wait until the Central Transfer Chamber to get to the Dwarven Armor Crafter but still – no problem – I was getting new armor!

Then I got there and realized that my options for Gauntlets were – limited, to say the least. I couldn’t just get Dwarven Gauntlets that matched my outfit – like other classes could. The Dwarf didn’t have gauntlets for Rangers the way the Asuran and Norn Armor Crafters did.

My options were and are: Dragon, Stone, Chaos, or Destroyer Gauntlets. Or I could get gauntlets from the Asurans or the Norn. A lot of options really, unfortunately - none of them will match my outfit.

I’m not asking for a lot. I just want Dwarven gauntlets for Rangers. My Ranger shouldn’t have to live out his GW life wearing lava hands when he doesn’t want to.

Dwarven armour is not a full set. It cannot be added to the hall of monuments as far as I know. I think the idea is that they are separate pieces to be combined with some of the cross-profession pieces such as the magma gloves. It's really quite silly, but I don't like the dwarven armour anyway so I'm not too worried.

It doesn't really matter if the items can be displayed in the HoM or not, the point is more that there is no hand cover that matches/compliments the other pieces from this crafter. There are hand coverings for many of the other professions, but not for ALL professions. Why do Rangers, Rits and Mesmers get fewer options for armor than everyone else?

The hand pieces should be added.

Unfortuantely it does matter to me. I'd been wearing the Driuids I bought at Droks long ago and found I couldn't display that. I figured if I bought my armor from the elite Dwarven crafter it would make a "set" as he didn't offter 2 different kinds of armor, just 3 different gloves. So I got everything from Gobrech including the Dragon Gauntlets. I spent well over 100k and I can't RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORE display it.

Let me reiterate – I just want Dwarven gauntlets for Rangers. But Rits and Mesmers should be able to wear gloves that match their outfits as well.

While I can understand your frustration Spidey I don’t care about displaying it in the HoM (and I never mentioned the HoM in the first place). That is an entirely different topic and should therefore be an entirely different thread.

I only have 1 high priced set for my warrior, and it's hardly shiny.

None of the pieces match, that's your first issue. The whole "Dwarven Set" is just random re-skined pieces from various other sets. So therefore, there are no "matching" gloves.

It's not just those professions that don't have full sets. No professions have full sets. I don't know why - that's just the way it is. It's pretty ridiculous.

No - My Dwarven duster, pants, and boots "match". My issue is there are no gauntlets that match.

Dwarven armor for Dervish is just as limited, the only option for head gear is the bandana. I went with Ebon Vanguard armor (Monument) because it looks good (outside of the perma-light blue parts) at it is a whole set.
